TWO WOMEN JAILED FOR DRIVING IN SAUDI

Loujain Al Hathloul, 25 and Maysa Al Amoudi, 33 who were arrested after driving into Saudi Arabia from the UAE, are supporters of a grassroots campaign launched in October of last year against the ban. Loujain Al Hathloul, who has a UAE driver’s licence, was detained at the Saudi border and had her passport confiscated.  Maysa Al Amoudi, was also held after she arrived to deliver food, water and a blanket to Al Hathloul. It is not clear if they will face criminal charges.
